My story
From an early age, sound and creativity were the ways I made sense of the world. They offered a direct, intuitive language — a means of processing experience, regulating inner states, and understanding what could not always be spoken.
This orientation naturally led me into storytelling and creative production, where I developed a foundation in listening, structure, and communication, alongside a deep sensitivity to atmosphere, emotion, and the subtler dimensions of experience.
Over time, I moved away from paths that felt creatively depleting and returned to the practices that felt most instinctive and alive — sound, voice, image, and intuitive expression. I began to develop these not only as forms of expression, but as ways of working with attention, presence, and perception.
My background spans documentary filmmaking and educational content production for The Open University, where I worked across multiple departments shaping narrative, structure, and audience engagement. This was followed by years working in creative production and cultural projects, including theatre production and stage management, where I co-produced a 12-play event funded through the Arts Council, and later organised and hosted the Mountmellick Heritage and Arts Festival.
In 2023, I held my first solo exhibition, followed by continued exploration across visual art, writing, and sound-based work. In 2026, I wrote and produced my first stage play When the Colour Went Away, performed as part of our Page to Stage event.
Across these experiences, a consistent thread has emerged: a focus on how environments, stories, and sensory experiences shape perception, emotion, and meaning. This has led to a multidisciplinary practice that moves between art, narrative, and experiential design.
Today, my work exists at the intersection of art, writing, and sound. I create experiential and reflective works that invite attention, emotional presence, and deeper self-listening. Alongside my artistic practice, I also offer creative direction and narrative advisory work for individuals and projects seeking greater clarity, coherence, and resonance in how they present themselves and their work.
At its core, my practice is concerned with perception — how we see, feel, and interpret the world — and how creative work can create space for reconnection, clarity, and renewal.
